Semrush’s entry-level plan is called ‘Pro.’
It includes the following core features for $119.95 per month:
- Domain analytics – the ability to determine how ‘authoritative’ your domain (or a competitor) is based on the number of links it has.
- Keyword research tools – It shows you how many people are looking for a specific keyword, how difficult it will be to rank for it, and what alternative phrases (keyword suggestions) you should focus on.
- Site auditing tools – It helps you figure out what technical changes you can make to your site to improve its chances of ranking well in search results.
- An on-page SEO checker – It evaluates your content and provides suggestions for how to improve it. Add certain keywords to your text to improve readability, and adjust page lengths are just a few of the suggestions.
The most important thing to remember about Semrush Pro — and indeed all of the other Semrush plans discussed here — is that there are various restrictions on how you can access all of the data mentioned above (and how often).

How often are your keyword metrics updated?
On the ‘Pro’ plan, the number of times you can get new metrics for your target keyword in Keyword Manager per month is limited to 250.

Creating a project in Semrush entails identifying a domain that you want to investigate further.
You can use Semrush on five different website projects with the Pro plan. This is important because a number of important features are only available when you create a project, such as:

The ‘Guru’ plan, which costs $229.95 per month, is the next pro plan.
This plan differs from the ‘Pro’ plan in such a way that it includes a feature called the ‘Content Marketing Platform.’
This is a set of tools designed to assist you in developing a content strategy. These can be used to:
- Find topics to write about that are likely to rank well in search engine results.
- Campaigns for content creation are managed (via a task management system).
- Examine the SEO potential of the content you’re creating.

- Daily, run a large number of queries and reports.
- Have advanced or unique requirements that necessitate access to Semrush’s APIs
